the best way is to buy TV tuner cord or use go ogle it
For online tv you can download ChrisTV Online! 2.90 or Online TV Player 4.0.1 .If you want real tv on your pc you can place in your pc a tv card that works with your home antenna.
i don't have one, but i want to know how to watch live tv on my computer for free. I think it works.
I bought my husband one of these and he loves it.

google it
I use it everyday now the Satellite TV for PC software elite package. Bought a few before but found them disappointing.

Now I watch news and some sports whenever I can in between working on my PC. Very useful piece of software. Even when I travel it is useful.

What is the old analogue TV connector called?

As in the plug that was on the end of the wire from the ariel.

I believe that the term RBG is to do with the signal and not the plug.

I appear to have one on the video card of my PC along side the VGA connector for the monitor. I am looking to use it to run second monitor without spending 锟?0 on a USB adaptor.

If this plug is unlikely to be the same as those used for TVs, then what else could it be?

Its an RF connector

i've never known that set up before with a coaxial plug for monitor(unless it's a VERY OLD ) , i know that pc's years back used normal tv's for screens but i can't see it being that as you have VGA on there as well, what mobo, graphics card(if installed) is it?
RBG=red,blue,green

the 'coax' is probably RG-58 or RG-6

It is likely that you can split your cable tv signal and send one of them in for capturing, like a DVR/VCR.

It may also be for TV output, but I have only seen s-video, and DVI for tv outputs. Hook it up to your tv... right click on the desktop choose properties, choose the settings tab and see if it shows two monitors to interact with.

(I still think its for capturing video not sending it out, but I can be wrong.) I would need to know more about your PC. Start 'run' type MSINFO32 press enter. this is some of the info needed to figure it all out.
It was called a co axial cable. It had two wires in one cable. One for sound and one for vision.
As far as I know there never was a fancy name for the standard T.V.aerial plug..I was in the TV trade for some years in the 50' and 60's and we always called them co-axial plugs or connectors.Haven't heard the term RBG used in connection with the plug.It is unlikely that the socket on your PC is this type of connector.Doesn't the instruction book or disc tell you what this socket is for and whether you can drive a second monitor from it?
It is called a co-ax connector. the inner carries the signal and the outer is connected to the coaxial braid and is often connected to earth.
the other comnnector on your v.card is probably a svideo out connector in which you could get a svideo cable and hook it to your tv but if your tv does not have a svideo in connector then you will need a svideo to composite adaptor to use a yellow rca video cable.
Its a coax connector, the cable was coax.

you will probably need some kind of router.
You can do this a number of ways. You didn't mention what operating system you were using so its kind of hard to give you more instruction on how to do this. But here is what you can do:

Use Remote Desktop (it comes with XP and Vista) so you can control your remote computers desktop. This works well with Vista and XP.

You can share out the Web Cams and connect directly to the Cams. Make sure you got the viewing software and drivers installed on the Computers that you are going to be viewing remotely from.

I hope this helps, good luck

Is there a way to preserve the true quality of video on a Digital 8 camcorder tape when transferring

When I transfer video from camcorder to computer via i.Link and WIndows Movie Maker, a lot of the quality and size that I have when I watch the video on my TV is lost. I want to preserve the quality so that I can burn video onto DVDs that has quality just as good as if I were to watch the tape by connecting it to the TV directly.

When using the Video Capture Wizard select the "Digital device format (DV-AVI)" option at video Settings. The digital information on the tape will then be transferred in its original quality to the PC for editing.

Be aware that the video still may not look too good on the computer monitor but should still be full quality if it is edited and sent back to the camcorder for recording.

Also, this method uses a lot of hard drive space in a hurry so make sure that your PC is up to the challenge in both drive space and processor speed or you will get a jumpy video as frames are dropped during capture.

For a car, you turn the key and it's on.

You can set your PC to go onto hibernation, it then keeps your settings loaded and only takes about 30s to start up!

because it hase to load all your setting and software from the RAM. but they are in the process of making a magnetic random access memory or MRAM which will turn the computer on instantly. and will basically be on stand by mode and will never go off.
yes that would be nice.

eh.

i guess its too much trouble for them

Has anyone seen a case mod to add a game console to a 5.5" PC drive bay?

I know people love to take apart their old games consoles - NES, Sega, etc. I have a PC tower next to the TV (basic beige box) that I use as a video server but has 5 open 5.5" bays. I would like to take apart my old game consoles and build individual units to fill those bays and really cut down on my clutter. I have used several of the emulators to run the game ROMs on the PC, but the quality is usually poor and lacks controller support. Before I go trashing my systems, has anyone seen such a mod done well?

Sounds like a good idea. I think you could make something out of a blank bay cover..
